Harpies are creatures with a human-like face and big wings that were initially considered not that hostile.[1] This changed when Belmorn instigated their recent attacks again Delphe Knights Castle.

History

Nothing is known about the history of the race prior to its recent wat against Calpheon's armed forces.

Culture & Biology

Harpies are very social creatures and they choose the strongest female in a group to lead. They call this chosen one the Karanda. Karanda's are critical to the very continuity of Harpies as a species because they are the sole females to incubate eggs. Some scholars argue this is because Harpies hatched from the Karanda are more likely to have absolute loyalty to their leader, not only as subjects, but also as progeny.[2]

Harpies show childlike personality. They hate to have their things stolen, and have also taken the life of many adventurers by attacking them with sharp claws from above.[3]

It is known that Harpy Mages are usually female. Some scholars who study Harpies suggest female Harpies must therefore be more intelligent. This is further supported by the fact that the Harpy leader, Karanda, is a female.[4]

Harpies are known to base their living arrangements around their nests.[5]

They have their own language that is incomprehensible to Humans and does not it meet the standards of actual script from the Human perspective.[6]

Harpies are born with pure white feathers that change color as they grow older. The whiter their feathers, the younger the Harpy.[7]

Locations
