Fame is a score calculated on the basis of family-wide combat levels, life skill levels and knowledge and contribution points. You can see your fame at the top right of the stats window (press "P" to see the stats window).

The fame levels determine how much silver you get in the mail as "Family Fame" reward.

There are three types of fame that contribute to the overall fame level.

Life Fame

Total of all your Life Skill levels across all your characters at or above Professional 1.
