The Dwarves are one of the most widespread races in the world. They're of generally short height, shorter than humans but taller than Shais.

Usually found as laborers in human lands, they hail from a land called Dwarfland,[1][2] a now barren land they believe will someday be restored to its past glory.[3]

History[]

It's said the race had a glorious ancient civilization that collapsed,[4] which may or may not be the mentioned southern Dwarf kingdom that fell in the past.[5][6][7]

In the ancient past the Dwarves made a weapon called an Iron Buster for the Giants and the latter used it to protect the Dwarves. Both races swore into brotherhood.[8]

Dwarves have been seen influencing other races and tribes. In the past an unnamed Dwarf warrior helped change the Bashims from a gentle tribe to a war-loving one.[9] Dorin Morgrim, said to be the greatest Blacksmith of the continent, started developing equipment for the then naive and docile Helms and that planted a seed of greed in the mind of the tribe. From then on they've been aggressive, like the Bashim.[10][11]

There's currently a Dwarven expedition in the Ancient Fissure in Mediah, headed by the Dwarf Chief Ain Greid. They know what the Ancient Men are and created the Bautt Protection to make a barrier in the area to protect it.[12] They're a part of the Secret Guards and allied with Tantu and his Dark Chasers.

Culture[]

They have a good reputation for being diligent. They will finish any work they are given. They are always a good hire for labor work, and the main difference between Giants and them is that Giants are stronger but harder to control.

Dwarves tend to be honest and aren’t much for trickery. They are also rarely scammed because they like to do things with their own hands anyway.[13]

The race tend to prefer melee combat.[14]

Dwarven artisans work for the Trina Knights and develop muskets and cannons. They also invented the Naval Bomb.[15]

Writing a book about how to become rich is a type of behavior considered revolutionary for a Dwarf.[16]

Due to the similarity between the Ancient language and the Dwarven one, the majority of interpreters of Ancient texts are Dwarves.[17]
